Who We Are

Mission & History

The Cherry Creek Schools Foundation’s mission is to enhance the educational experience and whole wellbeing of Cherry Creek School District students, staff, and families through community support that provides inclusive and innovative opportunities for all to thrive.

Founded in 1993, Cherry Creek Schools Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with one big job: connecting our community to Cherry Creek Schools in ways that create real, lasting impact. We do that by championing innovative programs, smart partnerships, and meaningful opportunities that help students and educators thrive—today and tomorrow.

Since day one, CCSF has awarded more than 1,000 Educator Initiative Grants, fueling the bold ideas of classroom teachers who are preparing students for an ever-changing world. We’ve raised more than $9 million to support groundbreaking programs that reach every corner of our district. From early literacy in elementary schools, to hands-on engineering in middle school, to ethics and leadership at the high school level, we proudly invest in ideas that get results.

But here’s the thing: we don’t do this alone. The Foundation relies on partnerships with business leaders, donors, and community members who know that investing in students is one of the smartest moves you can make. CCSF funding touches every student in the district by supporting growth, equity, and opportunity—while honoring the diverse cultural and socioeconomic experiences that make our community strong.

At the heart of it all, we proudly support the Cherry Creek School District’s mission: to inspire every student to think, to learn, to achieve, and to care.
